Wiggle Seat (Inflatable Cushion)

A round air-filled cushion that lets kids move while staying seated — heroes for homework time.

What it is

An inflatable disc cushion (about the size of a dinner plate) that goes on top of any chair. Kids can wiggle, bounce, and shift weight on it without leaving the seat.

What it does

Allows constant micro-movements that feed the vestibular system. Kids who 'need to move to think' can satisfy that need without standing up.

How it can help your child

  • Improves focus during seated tasks.
  • Strengthens core muscles over time.
  • Reduces fidgeting that disrupts a classroom or family meal.

When to use it

  • At the dinner table for a kid who can't stay in their seat.
  • During homework, virtual school, or screen time.
  • In the car (under the booster seat — check fit).

Sensory systems

vestibular proprioceptive

Examples

  • A first-grader who falls out of their chair during read-aloud.
  • A teen with ADHD who studies better while moving.

Recommended ages

3+

Safety considerations

Inflate only halfway — too firm and it loses the wobble effect. Don't use for stand-on play; not designed for that.
